About Me

I am a first generation entrepreneur who came to Mumbai as a student in 1981 and now is the founder of The Chempro Group with business across 50 countries in the world.

After finishing my Business School degree, I worked for Escorts Ltd and Larsen and Toubro Ltd. With burning desire to succeed, I discovered opportunities for employment with a few Foreign Trading Houses in the field of Chemicals trading, based mostly overseas in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei, Osaka, Moscow, London, Paris and New York to gain experience.

Today after 25 years of International Sales and field marketing experience, I have sold a range of different products manufactured by the Indian SMEs to diverse international cultures (like Japan and Peru).

Global Wealth Creation

I have travelled and marketed products made by the Indian SMEs in more than 50 countries. I own companies that are engaged in the field of Manufacturing and International Marketing of a variety of Chemical Intermediates, Bulk Drugs, APIs, Formulations, Specialty Chemicals, Dyestuffs, Pigments, Textiles and Ferro Alloys. I am a Promoter Director on several of these companies and an International marketing consultant to numerous SMEs in India.

I have been a visiting faculty since 1998, at the prestigious- Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai. I am also a Guest Lecturer and Educator at a number of other Leading Business Schools, WTC Mumbai and other Chambers of Commerce, in the domain of International Marketing, International Sales Management and Entrepreneurship.

I belive in promoting entrepreneurship in the area of exports from India. I also believe very strongly in the power of Indian Small and Medium Scale enterprises and actively educates and empowers them to export their products internationally.

Entrepreneur of the Month in Nov 2004. by Maharashtra Economic Development Council
All India Association of Industries also nominated him for the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri Award that is given away by the President of India for Business and Education for the year 2012.

At Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), I learned the facets of Marketing, Finance and Enterprise Building. As part of the curriculum, I also learned key aspects of cross cultural selling and international marketing that set the base for my future endeavours.

At JBIMS, I was fortunate enough to be guided and trained by the top minds of the country and I have greatly benefited from being a part of this prestigious institution.

Birla Institute of Technology : Mechanical Engineering

At Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani I had the privilege of rubbing shoulders with one of the elite set of engineers in the country. Today, my education from BITS helps me take decisions in a structured manner keeping the sound principles of engineering in mind.

BITS helped me with understanding the technicalities of business which a simple MBA degree cannot provide. My time in BITS has been truly memorable and has helped me master my skills in business.
